Signals behind the score

Reading the score

What do high and low scores mean?

Above 6 is bullish, 4 to 6 neutral, and 4 or below means the risk of a medium-term decline is rising.

How is it built?

US large-cap breadth, trend and cross-asset ETF signals (there’s no US macro feed) each count toward a score from 0 to 10, smoothed over three days.

How often does it update?

After each US trading day.

How can I use it?

As a guide to how much to hold: stay more invested while it’s bullish and cut back as it weakens. It reads the medium-term backdrop, not tomorrow’s move.
